Services: WordPress, SEO, Web Design
In July 2020 I was approached by 2 entrepreneurs who were looking to revamp their website and increase the page speed. Using the WP Recipe Maker plugin I helped redesign and rebuild the site, with a focus on high quality imagery to attract users and make the site look as attractive as possible.

URL: This website is no longer online
Below I have listed some key features on the website. They include parts of the website which the client wanted to change from the original design, elements that I have coded to save time and repetition and areas of the site that were key for functionality/user experience.
As NoDishrespect is a food blogging website it was important to make sure that not only did the recipes have high quality images, but that they were also easy to upload and follow.
Within the CMS I created a post type called 'Recipes' where the client could add a new Recipe. Then, in conjunction with the WP Recipe Maker plugin, the Client could add additional high quality images. Within the CMS the client could then select which recipes they wanted to show on the front page, as well as automatically pulling through recipes from set categories.
The client also wanted to create a blog for their website, allowing them the ability to give users tips on cooking and guides to the best types of food.
I used the default 'Post' post type within the CMS to allow the client to create the post types, then on the Blog page I pulled the blog posts through automatically.
Redesigning and rebuilding the website enabled the client to easily upload recipes and high quality images, as well as allowing users to easily browse the site to find and follow the recipes with ease. The new website was a lot quicker than the old site, helping to improve the end users overall experience.
